Honored Guests:

Lane Dilg, the City Attorney for the City of Santa Monica, where she leads an office of approximately 40 attorneys and staff who advise the City Council and City staff on the broad range of legal matters.   

Ms. Dilg joined the City of Santa Monica as part of a distinguished career in public service.  She has served as Senior Counsel to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA); prosecuted federal criminal offenses as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Public Corruption & Civil Rights Section of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles; advised Senator Dianne Feinstein as counsel on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee; litigated civil cases as an attorney for the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation and Susman Godfrey, LLP; and worked as a law clerk to the Honorable Raymond C. Fisher on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.   

William Goodwin, is the head of the policy and regulatory team, and the first legal hire at Skyryse, a startup enabling the future of urban and autonomous aviation.   
 Previously, he was the first lawyer and general counsel     at AirMap, a Los Angeles based tech company architecting the future of
 low-altitude flight, where he  headed the legal and policy teams. Prior to AirMap, he was an attorney in the San Francisco office of Morrison | Foerster, with a split practice of commercial litigation, tech transactions, and regulatory counseling. He worked in Morrison's UAS practice group, providing practical and strategic counsel on the unique product liability, licensing, and regulatory risks in the drone context.
